Biography
Born in Bilbao (Spain), I discovered music at the age of 4 in the Bilbao Choral Society and completed my professional training at the J. C. Arriaga Conservatory. Later, I pursued my higher flute studies at Musikene (Higher School of Music of the Basque Country) with Bruno Claverie, Miguel Ángel Angulo, and Álvaro Octavio.
My path continued in Germany, where I completed a Master’s degree in Professional Performance at the Folkwang Universität der Künste (Essen) with Anne-Cathérine Heinzmann, Daniela Koch, Alja Velkaverh, and Birgit Schwab.
Throughout my career, I have taken part in advanced courses and masterclasses with internationally renowned flutists such as Silvia Careddu, Juliette Hurel, Kate Hill, Irmela Boßler, Robert Winn, Christina Fassbender, Gaby Pas-Van Riet, and Javier Castiblanque, among others.
I am currently a flutist with the Neue Philharmonie Westfalen (NPW) and have collaborated with renowned orchestras such as the Bilbao Symphony Orchestra (BOS), the Basque National Orchestra (OSE), the Bilbao Sinfonietta (BS), and the Gürzenich Orchester in Cologne. I have worked under the direction of conductors including Eduardo Portal, Péter Eötvös, Robert Treviño, José Rafael Pascual-Vilaplana, Pedro Halffter, and Johan de Meij, among others.
I have also participated in soundtrack recordings for award-winning films at the San Sebastián International Film Festival (Zinemaldia), as well as in chamber music projects and professional studio sessions. My performance as soloist with the Bilbao Symphony Orchestra of the Concerto in D minor by C. P. E. Bach has been one of the highlights of my career.
Since the age of 16, I have discovered my passion for teaching. Since then, I have taught students of all ages and levels, always seeking an approach that is close, dynamic, and personalized.
I currently offer flute lessons, both in person and online, adapted to each student. Born of this passion, MusikLab is a personal project that in its first stage focuses on offering flute lessons in a flexible and accessible way. This is only the first step of an idea that will continue to grow and evolve over time. In the future, MusikLab aspires to become a creative and collaborative space where musicians of different levels can share ideas, learn together, and explore new ways of understanding music.
