Josu is a wonderful musician with a lyrical and enchanting tone, able to tell stories on stage.
I have rarely met such a sensitive and creative flutist.

Josu is a wonderful and complete musician. Not only a top level flute player, he’s a natural communicator with a deep feeling for music and how it can join human beings together. He’s a woodwind player who knows how to breathe life into the music he plays, painting it in 3D with a glorious range of colour and emotions.

From the moment we met, we quickly built a strong friendship, and music was what brought our lives together. Both in personal moments and in the times we shared through music, I’ve always felt that Josu is a truly special person… someone with qualities that are often hard to find in such a competitive world as music.
Josu has the ability to listen, include, motivate and inspire everyone around him. Combined with his resilience, dedication, and great talent, I can’t help but wholeheartedly recommend getting to know this wonderful person and teacher ♥️

Josu is a very kind teacher. He adapts his lessons precisely and meets his students right where they are “stuck.” With lots of good humor and competence, the lesson is never boring. I can warmly recommend this teacher especially for advanced students.

Josu is a great musician and a great teacher. We studied flute together in the master’s program at Folkwang UdK, and Josu was always there for everyone in the class. I often played for him, and he would immediately see and hear what I could still try with my sound and body to improve my playing; he always helped me a lot, both technically and musically! On a personal level, Josu is simply very supportive and always creates a very positive atmosphere. If you ever feel a bit sad or frustrated because something isn’t working, he always has great ideas for technical exercises that are never boring and still very effective. He is a professional musician, works in an orchestra, and plays a lot of chamber music, but he has also gathered a great deal of teaching experience. He really knows how to teach—excellent for beginners but, honestly, also for advanced students. He plays and teaches with so much passion, and you notice that immediately.

Josu is an outstanding teacher and a virtuoso on the flute! He is incredibly patient and explains and demonstrates things with great calm—repeating them if necessary. After each lesson we receive carefully prepared PDFs as an overview and a reminder of what was covered. Josu teaches flute playing in a structured way, with joy and ease. My son and I are thrilled and highly recommend lessons with Josu—even online!
