Service Description

MusikLab90 In-Person is designed for those who are looking for a deeper and more specialized approach to in-person lessons. This format is ideal for intermediate to advanced students, for entrance exam preparation, or for learning processes that require more time, continuity, and detailed guidance. Being able to hear you directly, observe your posture, and support you in the moment makes a clear difference, and in a 90-minute session this guidance can unfold with greater calm and depth. This format allows us to work without rushing, to consolidate fundamentals, and to create space for reflection, experimentation, and conscious adjustment in the way you play the instrument. My teaching approach remains clear and straightforward: playing the flute well does not start with playing right away, but with good preparation and a clear idea of the goal we want to achieve. Before we start playing, we take a conscious moment to focus on the body, to breathe in a relaxed way, and to prepare it properly. From there, we pursue the sound we like and work towards achieving it, always in the service of music and musical interpretation. It is not about controlling every movement or becoming obsessed with technique, but about having a clear musical goal and finding the most natural path to reach it. I strongly believe in common sense and intuition, in trusting what we feel and hear, without the need to overanalyze every step. In this longer format, we can deepen this process, take time to clarify questions, and build a more solid and conscious way of playing. Every student is different, and that is why every lesson is different as well. In the 90-minute sessions, I adapt the approach to your level, your repertoire, and your goals, so that the work is truly useful and aligned with the stage you are currently in—especially in demanding processes such as entrance exam or audition preparation. In-person lessons usually take place in Essen-Werden. If you prefer me to travel to your home, I apply a transportation surcharge depending on the distance, which we always agree on before confirming the booking.
